30761 W Golf Club Drive, San Tan Valley, AZ, 85143
San Tan Highlands is a challenging par-72 championship course set near the base of the San Tan Mountains. A few miles south of Queen Creek and 40 miles southeast of Phoenix, the course fills up its tee time slots with golfers who rave about its incredible views, unique layout, and overall bang for their buck. At San Tan Highlands everyone finds a distance they can handle. Six different tee sets plus additional combo options allow it to be played from as short as 3,423 yards and as long as 7,162. The back tees require multiple forced carries over native desert, while the white tees (6,171 yards) probably won’t require muscling up to reach the fairways. The course’s saguaro-filled terrain can ensnare many an errant shot, yet its ample fairways and generous landing areas actually make it quite user-friendly. Contrasting Nines define the game at San Tan Highlands. The Lowlands (front) Nine features predominantly flat fairways often ringed by the community into which it’s nestled. Once players reach the Highlands Nine, pronounced elevation changes and spectacular views of the San Tan Mountains and the Southeast Valley present thrilling shot values and more target-style challenges. Throughout the round, greens are medium-sized and circular or oval-shaped. Putting surfaces feature some undulation even as breaks are generally quite manageable. Practice facilities at San Tan Highlands include a full size driving range with Top Tracer (coming late 2023), chipping area with sand bunker, and a putting green. The clubhouse features a golf shop and our signature Maria’s Kitchen, which boasts a large covered patio (note that Maria's typically closes for the summer and reopens after overseeing). If you’re in the Southeast Valley you may find San Tan Highlands one of the most memorable and best value courses in Arizona, and well worth the drive.
